Wei Yan

Co-CEO

Mr. Yan holds a master's degree from Brandeis University and an EMBA from the PBC School of Finance at Tsinghua University.

He has worked at notable institutions, including Deloitte, Ping An Innovation Capital, Everbright Jinke Asset Management, and China Foreign Economic and Trade Trust. Additionally, he served as chairman of a publicly listed company on the A-share market, where he led investments, restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions for numerous projects.

Mr. Yan oversees the overall strategic planning and operations of Hoover Investment

Gongzhi Zhao

Co-CEO

Mr. Zhao holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and has extensive experience in investment banking, specializing in capital financing, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and complex transaction structuring.

From 2008 to 2015, he worked at the investment banking division at UBS in Hong Kong, advising large corporate clients on capital market activities and successfully executing transactions valued at over USD 20 billion.

Mr. Zhao serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director for two listed companies: GoFintech Quantum Innovation (Stock Code: 0290) and Shandong Hi-Speed New Energy Group (Stock Code: 1250).

He oversees international operations and leads investments in new energy and renewable resources sectors at Hoover Investment.

Yana Tong

Managing Director

Ms. Tong holds a master's degree from the University of Oxford and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) as well as a Certified Public Accountant in Canada (CPA Canada) and Hong Kong (HKICPA).

She has managed over USD 1 billion in private equity and venture capital investments in the technology sector, focusing on growth capital and pre-IPO stages. Ms. Tong has extensive expertise in investment, including fundraising, portfolio management, exit strategies, and fund management, along with experience in overseas mergers and acquisitions.

Before joining Hoover, Ms. Tong held positions at China Merchants Bank International, Ping An Insurance Overseas, WestSummit Capital, CITIC Capital, and PwC. She currently serves as Vice President of the Oxford Business Alumni Network (OBA) Hong Kong Chapter and previously served as a guest tutor for the Private Equity course at the University of Oxford.

At Hoover Investment, Ms. Tong leads M&A transactions.

Ming Tao

Managing Director

Mr. Tao graduated from Huazhong Normal University with a major in Business Administration and earned an MBA in Financial Management from the Graduate School of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

He previously worked at Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company and was involved in investment and M&A activities, serving as a senior executive for two A-share listed companies. During his tenure, he led various investment and M&A initiatives.

At Hoover Investment, Mr. Tao oversees investment operations in China and manages investor relations.

Racci Liu

Managing Director

Ms. Liu Jia (Racci Liu) holds a master's degree in Finance. She previously worked in the Asia Consulting and Investment Banking Departments at JPMorgan Chase and served as a managing partner at Pavilion AMC Group in South Korea.

Ms. Liu has managed capital market projects exceeding tens of billions of yuan and has extensive industry resources. She has led mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings for several listed companies and participated in cross-border M&A, including significant projects in semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

At Hoover Investment, Ms. Liu oversees investments in the semiconductor sector and operations in South Korea.

Qiang Sun

Managing Director

Mr. Sun holds a master's degree from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, with over a decade of experience in investment value analysis for listed companies and investment banking advisory services. Responsible for IPO consulting and guidance, refinancing, and M&A restructuring advisory services for more than 150 A-share listed companies. He is roficient in corporate investment value discovery and is well-versed in full-cycle capital service operations.

Mr. Sun leads the trategic consulting services for Hoover Investment.

Lin Cheng

Investment Director

Ms. Cheng holds a master's degree from Tsinghua University and has a proven track record as an Investment Director at a leading investment institution. Her key achievements include:

Fabless Investment Leadership: Originated and executed investments in 10 fabless IC design companies, advised on 3 additional deals, and delivered 4 successful exits via IPOs and strategic acquisitions.
Semiconductor Ecosystem Expertise: Structured investments across the semiconductor value chain, including equipment and material suppliers as well as advanced packaging and testing facilities.
Emerging Technology Focus: Pioneered capital deployment in third-generation semiconductor applications and AI-powered big data analytics platforms.
Cross-Border Transactions: Closed strategic divestments of semiconductor equipment manufacturers and IC design firms.

At Hoover Investment, Ms. Cheng oversees semiconductor sector investments.

Moujian Mo

Investment Director

Mr. Mo holds a bachelor's degree in Automation from Northeastern University and a Master of Business Management (MBM) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. With over a decade of investment experience, he has worked with appraisal institutions, listed companies, and large state-owned enterprises, specializing in equity investments, M&A, and joint ventures.

He has participated in landmark projects, including:

The spin-off listing of Yuexiu Group's property division
Acquisition of Guangzhou Metro Property and Changrunda Environmental Sanitation
Establishment of China Energy Engineering Group's Solid Waste Resource Comprehensive Utilization Company
Equity investments in various companies.

Mr. Mo oversees new energy and renewable resources initiatives at Hoover Investment.

Huaqiao Zhang

Chairman of the Strategic Committee

Mr. Zhang is Co-Chairman of Ruankong China Finance and has over 30 years of experience in investment banking and academia. He began his career at the People's Bank of China and later spent 11 years at UBS, where he led the China research team and was recognized as the top analyst in China by Institutional Investor magazine for five consecutive years. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer of Shenzhen Holdings and is a respected financial author.

Mr. Zhang has served on the boards of multiple publicly listed companies, including Fosun International and Greenleaf Pharmaceutical.

Yang Lu

Chairman of the Investment Committee

Mr. Lu holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Pittsburgh. With over 20 years of experience in finance and science, he co-founded Poincaré Capital Management in Hong Kong and served as Investment Director for the Global Opportunity Equity Fund. Previously, he worked at the State Administration of Foreign Exchange and various asset management firms.

Mr. Lu has taught and conducted research in physics in both the United States and Europe.
